Oldtown Old Town Kopitiam

Old town kopitiam 195 Lt Bourke St Melbourne, 3000
Myscore_1 Btn_firstreview

The name, OldTown Kopitiam, derived from a small coffeeshop in Ipoh (Malaysia) called Old town. This is where white coffee originates as well. White coffee is roasted mixing modern technigues and old skool Malaysian practices. It ends up with a lighter colour and hence the name. The aromatic coffee beans are well known and theymade it on the shelves of supermarkets in Malaysia. They later opened a modern kopitiam (coffee shop) and the rest is history.

Dainty Sichuan - Did I burn my lips?

Dainty Sichuan Corrs Lane, Melbourne
Myscore_3

There has always been talk about Dainty and how good and spicy it is. Ex-colleagues used to brag about the mountain of chillies they consumed and I always missed out on joining them because of meetings or prior lunch dates. Dainty Sichuan used to be situated in the city on Corrs Lane. It is also home to one of my favourite Japanese hideout. And they decided one day to pack up and move to South Yarra. I am girl from the North and so I didn’t bother to venture out to the South. And from my previous posts, you understand my hatred for traffic From South to North.

A Korean delight

Hallah 268 Victoria St North Melbourne
Myscore_4

This place was recommended by a Korean friend of Misters. There was a 5 minute wait as the waiting staff cleared a table for us. The Korean BBQ is located on the 2nd floor and ala carte is on the ground level. The service staff are all Koreans so it is promising. Very promising.
