best cafe to chill
Cafe Giraffe 302 Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne 3000
Cafe Giraffe is a very cute quaint little cafe with great ambiance and decor. It is a cosy place to hang out with friends especially on rainy Melbourne days. Beautifully decorated with knick-knacks scattered all over and a tree in the middle of the cafe.
The menu offers pies, dumplings, pastas, lasagnes, sandwiches and others- I definitely recommend Yan’s cold sesame chicken noodle salad. There's also a nice selection of delicious desserts like Tiramisu, Fondue for Two and Sticky Date Pudding.
Another plus point- it's opened til 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cookies 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Only been there once and I never want to go there again. It's so noisy in there, there's no point of having conversation during dinner, a typical exchange of words:
Me: It's really noisy in here!
You: What? I can't hear you it's really noisy in here.
Me: What?
You: Never mind.
Service is slow and you have to wait a long time to be served at the bar, where people ordering drinks compete with those there having dinner.
The food is mediocre and you can get better tasting Thai food on Swanston street.
