Belgian Beer Cafe

on my first time at bbc i was served by an arrogant and impatient man that returned 10 dollars less the amount of change I should have been given.
I'm won't be back to a breeding ground arrogant and dismissive staff!
The food was poorly blended and flavours pedestrian - way over priced for the quality (especially given the quality available in melb!)
BEWARE!
We used to enjoy coming here for a cold Leffe and a bowl of Belgian fries with aoili. But after last Saturday night's experience I don't think we'll be going back. More security checks than the Pentagon, including a female bouncer (or should that be pouncer?) who obviously missed her calling with the FBI, and who pounced on us as we entered the dining hall demanding to know if we had a reservation. Well I don't know about you but I'm used to a "Hello, how are you? Can I help you? Oh do you have a reservation?" when I choose to spend my money on going out to dine. And on that train of thought, I'm not sure where BBC gets off with their dining policy. A $200 deposit to secure a table and kicked off the table promptly at 8:15pm for the next poor suckers. A decidedly below average "cassoulet" that was really only a duck's leg on baked beans, for an above average price. Service that can only be described as contemptuous. You would never be treated like that in any other restaurant - even the most high brow places in our foodie's city. Sorry BBC - I'll be buying my Leffes from the bottle'o from now on.
