i have heard rumors that Equinox not only does not have cheap drinks any more which was the whole point of going there but now does not even serve jugs of beer! Hmmm it can not be surely...and yet i have not been back there for a long long time.
Equinox is the place to be early (5-7pm) Friday nights...you can chill out inside and listen to the live acoustic music under a stunning candelabra light with globes that look like fire. On a warm night you can sit outside and relax while watching everyone on the street rush past on their way home. Service is fast and friendly, and drink prices (on certain nights) will not break the bank even for students.
Expect to be surrounded by the 'business men/office crowd' type of people who just got off work or are on lunch. On their cheaper happy hour nights you can expect anyone there.
Nice place, check it out for a quiet drink after work or on your way to the next bar
