People! This is the place to be on Saturdays. Last week was the launching of their new night 'LOVEBOX',..cute name! Gives me the warm and fuzzies..haha.
Fantastic venue, very cool and chic. LOVED the Djs, there were awesum playing vocals and progressive house. Checkout Dj Alton - he made my night playing all my favourites. Couldn't stop dancing and l had on 3 inch heels.
My friends and l reserved a table in the VIP room, great place to chill, drink and listen to the music (resting my aching calves:). LOVEd the VIP room as we could order bottles of alcohol from our 'bottle girls', this way we didn't have to go to the bar for drinks. Try Chivas with Green Tea or Vodka with Calpis soda (new drink fad in Asia)- hmm getting thirsty!
I'll be back, it had a great vibe about the place.
Katsudon enjoys a bit of a boogie every now and then, and her favourite place for a friday night is Element. It's a breath of fresh air to escape the plebs that stumble around drunkenly on the burgeoning Queen St club/bar strip, and descend the stairs into this funky little lounge. Downstairs you will find some of the friendliest bartenders in town, and the star attraction DJ Will (probably stands for "Will play anything"), who never says NO to inebriated girls repeatedly requesting Whitney Houston and Belinda Carlisle every Friday night. The drinks list is truly inspired, with signature cocktails based on each of the Five Elements (Wood is my fave!), piccolos of Moet, imported beer on tap, and of course, SAKE. Perhaps best of all, Element has a strictly No Smoking rule - Katsudon hates nothing more than coming home on a Friday night with her hair smelling of cigarette smoke.
After a few Jager bombs you too will be getting down to the irresistible sounds of Whitney proclaiming that she wants to dance with somebody, and Belinda pleading someone to Leave a Light on for her. There's probably no better way to spend a Friday night!
