Delish

Peko Peko is great. I go there at least once a week, seeing I work within a few blocks.

The food is outstanding, the staff are lovely (and cute!) and its affordable for lunch if you want something great but don't want to pay top dollar.

My only gripe is that its always packed, and the comfy orange seats need to be dry cleaned or chucked out. Lift your game on those guys, they're filthy!

I'm missing it!

I live part time in Melbourne, Singapore, and Indonesia. And everytime I'm in Melbourne Peko Peko is always my first destination for a simple lunch or dinner. Peko Peko provides absolutely delicious, simple, and unexpensive food. I love it! Peko Peko has always been one of my favorite restaurants in melbourne, of all time!

a homely sweet modern asian café .. not too big not too small..!
pocket sized with space somehow..
driving past you may not know it it there..
but hiding amoungst a few little shops.. it is : )
have a look at the sweet little pictures in tiny frames on the walls..
it is predominantly taiwanese..
with a mix of japanese.. chinese and other yummy asian inspiration.
the food is so fresh and the options are just what you want.
if you are hungry or just feel like something small it is all there.
and everything is good!
i personally love the pop chicken box.. mmmm..
but whatever it is that you chose.......
.........remember to get one of their delicious brownies..
with a scoop of black sesame ice cream on top!
yummy : )

I go here at least once a fortnight with my boyfriend. We're regulars and the staff knows us by face now. The food here is reasonably priced, I've only ever tried their entrées and bento boxes so those are the only ones I can comment on. What can i say? It tastes great! Personal favourite is the Pop Chicken. *drools*

PekoPeko. South Melbourne

By stickyfingers on 31 Mar 08
In a drab strip of shops ducking for cover behind the St.Kilda Road Skyscrapers, is a small jewel. It's like diving into your ancient auntie’s jewellery box full of plastic tat and finding a proper gem. That's PekoPeko. The menu has 74 items listed but ordering is straightforward. Most will choose either a Peko Box (Bento Box) $10.50, a Peko Plate (rice and topping) $8.90 - $11 or a Peko Noodle Bowl of noodle soup $9.50 and share an entrée $5.50-$8.40, between two people with all dishes arriving together. The drink list has a handful of Beers and wines, along with quirky Asian drinks like Calpis Soda and Green Tea Lattes. Visit blog
