Il Tempo

This caffe/restaurant "il Tempo" just reminds me a lot the cosy cafes and bars you can find in europe. I was there for a coffe in the afternoon there is a nice outdoor area all the way down to the main Degraves st, where you can have a look at funny/extravagant people passing by or wedding photo shoots.. came back for dinner with my husband and we tryed the calabrese pasta generously topped up with a homemade chilly oil and we noticed our waitress could help but suggesting it to all the other guests too and it was really nice indeed. We had to try also the dessert she recommended an homemade chocolate log traditionally called in italy "chocolate salami", it's quite rich and tempting served in thick slices with Frangelico and cream!we would love to come back next time we are in Melbourne
If you are looking for a cosy place and you are one of those Italian food gourmands,I reccomend this rustic caffe' in Degraves street called "il Tempo", they have delicious bruschetta and a very good lunch deal with soup+pasta+glass of wine for only 19.90$ and the food is great!
