Excellent

By sonny on 03 May 07

Never do reviews, but these chips were amazing! I had a "box of African" (ketchup, mayo, onion), the chips were crunchy and sauces delicious. Best place for chips in Melbourne or maybe Australia..and the mini original I had was very good too. Thanks Lord!

GREAT FOOD

By maya on 27 Jan 07

Such delicous food - after coming back from a trip to Europe I was so happy to have real hand cut fries. And the mayo!!! I also tried the Italian and it brought me flashbacks from cruising in Venice. Absolutely love the burgers. Taste so good!

not what i expected

By tommy on 23 Jan 07

expensive and not much better than any corner shop chips. was charged an extra dollar for 'gourmet' sauce that was nothing more than ketchup. won't be going back

LOTF =my savoir

By eyeswideshut on 03 Jan 07

Can I keep going on about the delish creamy creamy Belgian mayo????? Its that or their Aussiefied poutine (which Canadians know doesn't have grated cheese but fresh cheese curds), but I digress LOTF "poutine" is divine. I love the mini burgers (the secret is its vegetarian, take that you carnivores!) and I've already completed several loyalty cards. Hell I got the hoodie as a chrissy present!'aime le lord of the fries. My only "complaint" is its the americanisation of their name,it should've been called Lord of the Frittes. But I understand the joke on the title.

The Perfect Fry

By Lizzee on 05 May 06

For owner of new fries on the block Mark and partner Amanda, settling for normal bland frozen fries just didn’t seem right. They traveled the world in search of exotic flavours and the perfect method of cooking potato chips, returning Down Under to open up the Lord of the Fries

Previously based in Taiwan, the pair dreamt of one day returning to their beloved homeland to serve up hot goodies from a caravan. After weeks of subjecting friends to weekend after weekend of sample-cooking and taster sessions, Mark and Amanda believed they had ’the perfect fry’. Sliced thick and chunky with the skins on, the potatoes are double fried in sunflower and cottonseed oil before being sprinkled with a light touch of salt and dished up with your choice of sauce. A neat little 3D viewer out on the front wall exposes the exact fry making process.

Traveling around the world opened the eyes and taste buds of this couple, and Lord of the Fries currently has six yummy flavours to choose from ranging from Spicy curry to European. The golden fries are served in a cone keeping them hot and crispy for longer.

Lord of the Fries just opened this year but Mark says that business has taken off with commuters pouring across from Flinders Street station. He hints that while he’s considering expanding to Chadstone and other key shopping areas, staying in the city is what he enjoys the most. So for the time being chip addicts will need to come into the city to try ‘the perfect fry’.

The Lord is my Saviour

By ruthfrolic on 30 Apr 06

Lord of the Fries is exactly what it promises to be! The fries are hot-fresh- made on the spot! I had mine with delicious creamy belgian mayonnaise - my sister had the french canadian hot gravy & melted cheese on her fries. Heavenly!!! The mini burgers are juicy mouthwatering treats. Long live the lord!
