Meshiya

Favouritized By

Meshiya is a narrow sliver of a restaurant clinging to the edge of QV. As you enter, the staff member closest to the door will without fail sing out 'irashaimase'. The vibe at Meshiya is friendly informal and the very reasonably priced food is of excellent quality. On my first visit I tried the Tempura Moriawase Ozen, a lacquered dining tray laden with goodies: nourishig miso soup, salad, pickles, rice, mixed tempura with dipping sauce, and chawanmushi. It was my first time tasting chawanmushi, a hot steamed egg custard sprinkled with feathery enoki mushrooms. Like the rest of the ozen, it was exquisite. Subsequent visits to Meshiya have not disappointed - highly recommended!
