Flavours of Lakhoum

Melbourne is very well known for its strong coffee culture and its great food.
Until i tried Flavours of Lakhoum (on very strong recommendation from some friends who are serious foodaholics/coffeholics) i was able to find good food, and great coffee, but never the two together!
The food draws heavily on influences from the mediterranean and middle eastern regions, but does so in a 'lighter' cafe style with a strong emphasis on fresh quality produce and on simple, yet effective flavours.
The coffee is nothing short of spectacular, and I am known for my harsh coffee reviews, and coffee snobbery. If you happen to be there during a quiet period, you may be treated to a nice surprise in your caffe latte - the barrista has a penchant for drawing works of art in the head of the latte. Photos of his work grace the walls and are available for sale.
It is my regular weekend breakfast haunt where i start and finish with a coffee, and order two meals... The serves are far from small, but there are too many good things and i can never decide....
If you havent been, and you value good food and great coffee, then you really are missing out!!
