Only been there once and I never want to go there again. It's so noisy in there, there's no point of having conversation during dinner, a typical exchange of words:
Me: It's really noisy in here!
You: What? I can't hear you it's really noisy in here.
Me: What?
You: Never mind.
Service is slow and you have to wait a long time to be served at the bar, where people ordering drinks compete with those there having dinner.
The food is mediocre and you can get better tasting Thai food on Swanston street.
The Cookies Bar/Restaurant has been around for a while. About the starting time of the bar craze in Melbourne.
It is a nice place to chill with friends, but can get very busy during Friday night and most of the time, will require a guest list to go in.
The cocktail list is also something to go in for. The barmans there really do know how to mix their drinks well.
The bar area can get a bit cramped when it is packed, you usually could snake your way around to find a comfy table/booth somewhere at the back.
Food wise, I only had a snack there last time. But they serve Thai dishes and snacks on the main floor. With burgers and chips on the top floor (Cinema area). Oh and nearly forgot to mentioned, at the rooftop, Cookies are now showing classic cult movies at night!
