I was spoiled for choices when I had finally found this little skewer joint tucked at the rear of Exchange Tower. Beef, lamb, chicken, prawns, mushrooms or tofu? With sweet chilli sauce, teriyaki sauce or satay sauce?
Unlike skewers that are soaked in oil at many other places, the skewers here aren't oily yet succulent. It was a guilt-free lunch although me and my posse had stuffed ourselves with about 20 skewers on top of rice/baguette and salad.
Oh man, thumbs up for their homemade sauces. Couldn't stop myself till the very last drop. I especially liked their satay and teriyaki sauce, went very well with the skewers and baguette. Looks like I'll have to get Skew'd again soon!
My goodness, this place is awesome! I ate there today and I don't know what hit me!
Charcoaly, sweet, succulent, juicy. These guys know how to cook up some mean meat...did I mention delicious?
Are there any more of these places around? They should be in every major city!
I don't know about you, but when lunch time comes around, deciding what to eat can be a real chore. I am always looking for something new to try.
Today, I found this place tucked away in amongst the buildings. They served various types of satay / yakitori skewers with rice / baguette. I opted for a meal comprising 2 chicken skewers & rice, with a side of salad, topped with their home made teriyaki sauce.
As I bit into the chicken, the smell reminded me of a weekend BBQ. Coupled with their teriyaki sauce, it was magic!
The verdict? Is lunch meant to be that good? It certainly beats a sandwich any day!
Apparently they've just opened, but I can see this place getting very busy in the near future if their skewers is anything to go by.
I will definitely go back for more of those delicious skewers! Maybe tofu or mushroom next time...
