Hobby Japan

This little shop is hidden in a little arcade in China Town, the outside of the shop display's various figurines in many different poses.
The inside of the shop is small and isn't all that amazing. It had a large range of figurines and anime for reasonable prices. However if your not careful they could be bootlegs. The service is friendly and the selection is great!
Can't wait to go back on the weekend!
Located in the heart of Chinatown, Hobby Japan is Otaku heaven. This little shop is where they flock for the latest dose of anime, be it DVDs, soundtrack Cds, posters, manga, toys or candy. Pick up a replica Gundam model, Totoro plush or Blue Teddy Chocolate. Outside, the shop windows are lined with hundreds of figurines in a multitude of heroic poses. Sangoku (Dragonballz) and Luffy (One Piece) gesture valiantly while female characters in various stages of undress pose suggestively. Alongside, Kawaii characters cute and big-eyed like newborn pets, just beg for you to take them home.
Every piece of paraphernalia that you could ever want is here, or can be shipped over for a price. Classics like Neon Genesis Evangelion, tentacled weirdness like Urotsukidoji, the totemo sukebei City Hunter and the ultra cool Initial D are enough to make any true Otaku salivate. :P .If you like high fantasy, nothing Hollywood or Pixar makes even comes close to the giant mecha alien mind-blowing insanity of anime. Once you have had a taste for it, anime can be higly addictive and It is not uncommon for someone to blow hundreds of dollars on a full DVD series with out thinking twice.
Why the addiction? Maybe its because in the anime world, good always triumphs over evil, coolness rules and the hero always gets the chick. Or maybe it’s the hot anime babes in their cute outfits.
